NEW DELHI (Staff Report) – India on Thursday allowed some of the Pakistani diplomats to visit Kolkata and Mohali to see World T20 matches of Pakistani cricket team.
According to officials, as many as 34 staff members of Pakistani High Commission in India including High Commissioner Abdul Basit had sought permission to visit Kolkata and Mohali to see four matches of Pakistani team.
However New Delhi has allowed only ten staffers to visit the two cities. Abdul Basit has been granted permission to see all four Super 10 round games of Pakistani team -Kolkata and Mohali will both host two games each.
Earlier Pakistani High Commission in India, in a statement, expressed extreme disappointment when New Delhi refused to allow its staffers to visit Indian cities to see World T20 matches.
