ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday ordered the cancellation of all land acquired for the Bhara Kahu Housing Foundation under the Section-IV.
The minister also directed the Special Secretary Interior to hold an inquiry of the land acquisition process, said a press release.
Nisar said he would support each and every housing scheme initiated for low-income federal employees, However, he stressed that the land should be procured as per market rates from the rural residents.
Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) was launched in 2009. It has received 83,558 applications under the Membership Drive Phase I and II in the years 2009 and 2015, respectively.
The housing foundation executed an agreement with M/s Green Tree for the purchase of 3000 kanals of private land at Bhara Kahu.
Earlier, last month Land Acquisition Collector had issued notification under section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act 1894 for acquisition of 6932 kanals land situated in Mauza Sakrilla Bhara Kahu Islamabad.
