LAHORE – The registration for Honhaar Scholarship Programe worth Rs130 billion has been for brilliant students across Punjab.
Information desks have been established at universities to facilitate the process. Under the scholarship program, students from 68 disciplines will be eligible for financial assistance.
On the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, 30,000 students will receive scholarships each year. Students from 50 public sector universities across Punjab can apply for these scholarships.
Scholarships will be available for undergraduate degree programs lasting 4 to 5 years. Eligibility will be determined based on a merit list created from 30% of Matriculation marks and 70% of Intermediate marks.
The scholarship will cover the full tuition fees for the students.
Income Limit
Residents of Punjab aged 22 years or younger with a household income of less than Rs300,000 per year are eligible to apply. Students enrolled in MBBS and BDS programs can also apply for these scholarships.
The objective of the merit scholarship program is to provide opportunities for higher education to students who achieve good grades despite limited resources.

Applications for the merit scholarships can be submitted until October 18 at honhaarscholarship.punjabhec.gov.pk.
