The cake which is over eight foot tall, weighs a staggering 3,750 kiligrammes according to The Financial Express.

The chefs aimed to make the cake tall enough so that it can enter the Guinness World Book of Records. The Surat-based bakery, Atul Bakery, has collaborated with an NGO called Shakti Foundation which works for the empowerment of rural women.

The cake is an ode to his efforts towards women empowerment; with campaigns such as Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao.

Organisers are optimistic and say the cake stands a very strong chance of breaking the world record.

According to Times of India the current record for the tallest birthday cake is held by the MTR Rzeszow International Fair in Rzeszow, Poland. The cake was nearly six feet tall, and weighed 720.8 kilogrammes.
