ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – The sixth round of Ministerial level Pakistan-US Strategic Dialogue will be held in Washington on February 29, said a statement on Thursday.
Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and the US Secretary of State John Kerry will lead their respective sides.
The strategic dialogue will cover cooperation in economy, energy, education, science, counter terrorism, non-Proliferation and defence sectors.
Meanwhile, an inter-ministerial meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday reviewed progress of the previous rounds and preparations for the upcoming strategic dialogue to further strengthen the partnership with special focus on expanding trade and investment cooperation.
The meeting chaired by advisor on the foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz was attended by Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and federal secretaries of various ministries.
