KARACHI – Rescue teams on Monday recovered bodies of two boys drowned at city’s Sandpit beach yesterday.
The bodies of the 19-year-old Faraz and 22-year-old Osama were found from the beach during a rescue operation.
A group of four friends went to the beach for the picnic on the second day of the Eidul Fitr when two of them drowned at the sea.
The victims were residents of North Nazimabad and Federal B Area.
After the drowning incident, rescue personnel reached the site and launched a search for Usama and Faraz.
On May 23 last year, at least six people drowned while bathing off different beaches in Karachi, rescue personnel had confirmed.
