LAHORE – Adding another feather to his cap, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday inaugurated Pakistan’s largest surgical tower at Mayo hospital in Lahore.
At the opening ceremony of the six-storey tower, the Punjab chief minister said it will have the 16 state-of-the-art operation theatres to facilitate the patients.
Taking on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan, Shehbaz said that political rivals only speak of hospitals but no new hospitals were established in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The surgical tower will have the facility to conduct tests such as digital angiography, CT Scan, MRI, laparoscopic system, ultra sound, and mammography.
Patients, who lost limbs, will be provided treatment, besides extending facility of reconstructive and vascular surgery.
Hydrotherapy, shower room, Intensive Care Unit and treatment room will be included in the burnt unit.
For major burn patients, radiological and diagnostic treatment facility will be present.
