India claims to seize suspicious Pakistani balloon

NEW DELHI –  An Indian farmer claimed to have discovered a suspicious balloon in his fields near Dera Baba Nanak sector of Gurdaspur district in Punjab.

According to Indian media, the balloon was found along the Pak-India international border, where a police contingent visited the spot and took the balloon in its custody.

Indian police claimed that a note was also found along with the balloon bearing the names of two Pakistani nationals and three mobile numbers.

Police suspected that the balloon might have been sent by Pakistani peddlers to their Indian counterparts. However, police said they were investigating the issue.
