PERTH – Australia defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets in the third one-day international of the five-match series here on Thursday.
Batting first, Pakistan set a target of 264 with Babar Azam contributing a substantial 84 runs to the total. Shoaib Malik and Umer Akmal scored 39 each to help touring side set what they thought was a satisfactory total.
On the other hand, Hazlewood took 3 wickets while Travis Head took two.
Australia managed to chase the target easily in 45 overs as Steven Smith managed to score 108 while Amir, Junaid Khan and Hassan Ali took one wicket each for Pakistan.
Australia now leads the series 2-1.
Earlier, Australia won the toss and decided to field first against Pakistan in the third One-Day International (ODI) at the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) ground in Perth.
