KARACHI- Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Rao Anwaar has submitted the ‘criminal record’ of Naqeebulla, an alleged terrorist killed in the police encounter on January 12, before the inquiry committee. The inquiry committee was formed to investigate the controversial killing of the deceased.
SSP Malir Rao Anwar appeared before a three-member committee, comprising Additional IG CTD Sanaullah Abbasi, DIG East Sultan Khawaja, and DIG South Azad Khan. The committee was set up after PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari ordered Sindh law minister to launch an investigation into the case.

Anwar, in a media talk on January 13, had claimed to have shot dead four alleged terrorists in a police encounter at Shah Latif Town. However, his claim got disputed after Naqeeb’s family alleged that he was abducted on January 3 from Sohrab Goth and then was killed in a fake encounter.

One officer is particularly notorious.
The case of #NaqeebMehsud cries for justice – for him and those before him.”
