LAHORE – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is using the internet facility in Adiala jail but the way he has availed it is more surprising, a senior journalist has come up with stunning claims.
Shaheen Sehbai on his Twitter handle claimed that the former premier, who has Better-Class facility in the jail for being a former parliamentarian, has borrowed the Wifi from the fellow inmate.
He further added that the inmate, who is showing generosity, is serving the term following his conviction in a murder case. Sehbai wrote, “Raja Arshad Mahmud is nextdoor B-Class neighbor of Nawaz in jail, has 5-Star status incl WIFI n 20 different sims”.
The journalist claimed that Arshad had killed a nephew of Mohammad Mian Soomro in 2016, adding that he was being extended all facilities by the jail authorities.
He revealed, “Nawaz is using his [Arshad] WiFi n WhatsApp”. He also demanded a probe into the matter.

Earlier today, Adiala Jail administration has transferred an official for hugging incarcerated former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, local media reported.

The head warden, whose name has not been disclosed, was deployed at the barrack of the former premier and he was reportedly a fan of Nawaz.
Earlier, reports emerged that Nawaz Sharif’s movement has been limited to his barrack by the Adiala jail authorities after inmates started raising slogans against him when he comes out for a walk in the courtyard.
