ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – A delegation of Russian-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Trade and Scientific Cooperation called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad today.
Talking to the delegation, the Prime Minister said all economic indicators show that Pakistan has become an attractive place for foreign investment.
He opined that direct flights between Islamabad and Moscow will benefit the traders and investors.
The pipeline is the largest investment by Russia in Pakistan.
He also extended an invitation to Russian President Vldimir Putin, for inauguration of North-South Gas Pipeline.
Referring to terrorism, the Prime Minister said Pakistan has taken firm stance against terrorism and extremism to ensure a peaceful and investors’ friendly environment in the country.
He said terrorism hideouts and infrastructures have been dismantled through effective measures.
He said Pakistan supports an Afghan-led and Afghan-owned solution for peace in Afghanistan, in the interest of stability in the region.
