No plan for privatisation of PIA, says Dar

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that current government has no plan for privatisation of Pakistan International Airlines but wants to get a strategic partner for the airline.

In a Sunday statement, he said the strategic partner will have twenty-six percent shares in the core business of the national flag career.

The Minister made it clear that no employee of PIA will be fired.

He said airlines fleet has increased from eighteen to thirty-eight and during this month the number of planes will further be increased to forty.
