LAHORE – Titled ‘Lahore Qalander Saray Dil Ander’, Lahore’s commercial theater circuit is on a mission to create hype around PSL (Pakistan Super League). The play is based on the journey of team ‘Lahore Qalanders’ in PSL 2018.
With upcoming semi-finals on March 20 and March 21, this theatre play is adding all the fuel necessary to get fans hyped up more than ever.
The first performance of the play has been held in Tamaseel Theatre last week. Another play ‘Aur Wicket Gir Gai’ also followed suit at al-Falah Theatre, with botht he plays receiving positive responses from the audience.
‘Lahore Qalander Saray Dil Ander’ has been directed and written Naseem Vicky and its cast includes Nasir Chinyoti, Tahir Anjum, Gulfam, Razi Khan, Taufique Shah, Sobia Khan, Mehak Noor, Sara Khan, Nigar Chaudhry, Nisha Bhatti and many others. The play revolves around these stellar women defeating Lahore Qalanders, which in turn is to show the fault’s in management of the team.
Naseem Vicky, the director said,”We just have a different way of celebrating their success. We are happy to have chosen this topic and are overjoyed with the response we got from the public. We have already had numerous full houses!”
“I personally believe that the script and dialogues are very good due to which, not only our usual fans, but families have also been coming to watch this play.” Vicky continued.
