Karachi: Two arrested for having connection with Kulbhushan Jadav

KARACHI – Law enforcement agencies on Saturday arrested two person from Karachi for allegedly having connecting Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadav, who has been awarded death sentence by a military court.

The police and other agencies held the two during raids against those involved in planning of creating unrest in the city. They have been shifted to unknown place for further interrogation.

According to police, the suspects belong to Balochistan Liberation Army, a separatist group and were running their network from Liyari aiming at targeting important personalities in the city.

During the action, the officials also captured culprits involved in serious crimes.

Jadhav was arrested on March 3, 2016, through a counter-intelligence operation in Balochistan’s Mashkel area for his involvement in espionage and sabotage activities against Pakistan.

Soon after his arrest, Pakistan Army released a video in which he was shown confessing to his involvement in spying for Indian agency RAW. He was awarded death sentence by the military court.

Recently, the ICJ ordered Pakistan to halt the execution of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav until a final decision in the proceedings.
