Suicide bomber blows himself up in Karachi to avoid arrest

KARACHI (Staff Report) – A suicide bomber blew himself up in Malir area of Karachi on Sunday during a search operation against terrorists.

The law enforcement agencies including Pakistan Rangers and Sindh police carried out a raid at a house in the area on a tip off. As a result, two policemen got injured.

Two injured policemen have been shifted to the hospital, after which Rangers arrested two people while they were in action in Rafah Aam society.

According to Rangers officials, two arrested suspects belong to a political party.

Intelligence agencies have arrested a suspect during raid at his residence in KESC colony of Gulshan-e-Hadeed, according to sources, the suspect’s laptop, computer and two motorcycles were seized.

However, two suspects were arrested, a suspect was injured in exchange of fire.

In Patel Para, police arrested three Afghans including 12 suspects during search operation, while weapons have been arrested from their possession.
