KARACHI Web Desk) – A strong heatwave is expected to persist in Karachi on Sunday as the temperature rose to 40 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department predicted that the mercury may further increase in the day.
Forecasting dry and hot weather for Sunday, the Met Office says low winds are blowing from North West with 26 percent humidity in the air.
The weather department predicts that the mercury will rise above 40 degrees and may stay between 41 and 43 degrees Celsius during the next 24 hours. Temperatures touched a peak of 43 degrees on Saturday.
The Sindh government has declared an emergency in all the hospitals across Karachi, directing the staff to be present on duty.
