Pakistani students win all prizes at Beaconhouse International Student Convention 2018 in Oman
OMAN - Pakistani students beat other participants from Malaysia, Oman, Philippines and Thailand in a brilliant show of talent and sporting prowess at the Beaconhouse International Student Convention 2018 (BISC 2018).

The event was held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat, Oman. The second and final day of BISC 2018 continued with the same passion and vigour that was exhibited when it began, according to a press release issued by the organisation here on Wednesday.

Over 200 Beaconhouse students from 5 countries participated and gave their best in a host of activities and competitions from various spheres of learning, ranging from sports and athletics to science, technology, the visual and performing arts and filmmaking. Through these competitions, the convention encouraged the participants to develop their teamwork, creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills (all under the ambit of 21st-century learning). BISC 2018 provided Beaconhouse students with the chance to be on the global stage to promote the noble cause of learning.

Students from Pakistan gave a brilliant performance by cinching most of the competitions and ended up in the first position. The first position in BISC Biennale (art competition), BISC Exploratorium (science project competition), BISC Film Festival and BISCLICK (photography competition) all went to Pakistan.

Similarly, in the sports arena, Pakistani students secured the first position in Futsal for Boys, Futsal for Girls, Table Tennis, Basketball for Girls, Swimming for Girls and all athletics competitions barring the Short Put. It was truly a complete domination by Pakistan at the adrenaline-fueled BISC 2018.

Beaconhouse Chairman Nasreen Kasuri, the ambassadors from Malaysia and Pakistan, government officials of Oman and other foreign dignitaries were present at the event. A special thanks was extended to the Ministry of Education and Sultanate of Oman for their support and endorsement in hosting the largest international student convention in Oman.

The event was streamed live worldwide on beaconhouse.net/BISC so that those in their home countries could take part in the excitement and fun with their loved ones. The BISC 2018 finally drew to a close with a magnificent closing ceremony that was enjoyed by all those present on the occasion.-PR

Gold Rate In Pakistan Today:

KARACHI – The price of a single tola of 24-karat gold in Pakistan is Rs 228,900 on Tuesday. The price of 10 grams of 24k gold was recorded at Rs197,190.   

Likewise, 10 grams of 22k gold were being traded for Rs180,756 while a single tola of 22-karat gold was being sold at Rs 210,832.
