ISLAMABAD (Online) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has sought reply from newly elected MNA from NA-122 Lahore in the matter of using state resources in by polls and directed him to appear before it on October 29.
According to media reports, the Judicial Activism Panel had filed a petition in Lahore High Court stating that the ruling party had used state resources in by polls in NA-122 Lahore. Government vehicles were used during election campaign on polling day, the panel, adding the service of government employees were hired to provide facilities to voters.
Accepting the petition, the LHC had directed the ECP to hear the case.
According to LHC orders, Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza Khan will hear the matter in Islamabad.
