Reports tell that Bollywood heart-throb Ranveer Singh will fill in Akshay Kumar’s shoes in the sequel to hit comedy Singh Is Kinng. The sequel has been titled as Sher Singh as revealed by producer Shailendra Singh. Reports also suggest that the movie cannot retain its original name due to conflict with producer Vipul A Shah.
Shailendra Singh’s current priority is to get Ranveer Singh onboard. The producer described Ranveer Singh as a “lethal combination of Salman Khan and Johnny Depp.” However, the producers have yet to decide who will star opposite Ranveer in the sequel.
Singh is Kinng was a hit comedy, directed by Anees Bazmee starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.
Ranveer’s current projects include Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati, also starring Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone.
