LAHORE – The Punjab government on Saturday made second large-scale transfers and postings in the police department across the province in less than two months.
According to an official notification, Abdul Qadier has been transferred and posted as the deputy inspector general (DIG) investigation.
Maqsoodul Hassan has been posted as DIG Punjab Highways patrolling while Afzal Ahmad Kousar has been appointed as DIG Headquarters CPO office, Geo News reported.
Mohammad Zubair Dreshak has been transferred and posted as DIG Establishment CPO, Punjab. Similarly, Rai Babar has been appointed as DIG Logistics and Procurement while Gohar Mushtaq Bhutta will take charge as DIG Police Welfare, CPO.
On October 28, the provincial government made large-scale reshuffling in the police department.
According to a notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Zulfiqar Hameed has been transferred and posted as capital city police officer (CCPO) in Lahore.
Waqas Nazir has been posted as Deputy Inspector General-Operations (DIG-Operations) Lahore, reads the notification. Whereas Inam Waheed has been given the responsibility of DIG investigations, Tariq Abbas Qureshi has been transferred as regional police officer (RPO) Gujranwala and Bilal Siddique as RPO Sheikhupura.
While Waseem Ahmad Sial has been transferred and posted as RPO Multan and Sohail Tajik as RPO Bahawalpur.
