Eight alleged militants killed in police encounter

KARACHI (Staff Reporter) – At least eight militants were killed in an alleged encounter with police in Karachi on Monday.

Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Rao Anwar, police conducted a raid in Pipri on a tip-off where members of a banned terror outfit were hiding. The suspects opened fire on the police party, resulting in an exchange of fire at least eight militants were killed, he added.

Police recovered arms and explosives from the hideouts of the terrorists. He said that police were still chasing militants, who were on the run.
