Imran Farooq Murder Case: Scotland Yard team arrives in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – A five-member investigation team of Scotland Yard has arrived in Islamabad to meet with the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) of Pakistani investigators that is probing the Imran Farooq murder case. Both sides will exchange key pieces of evidence and witness statements.

The team will stay in Pakistan for a week during which, they will also meet FIA Director Shahid Hayat, who is investigating the money laundering case against MQM leadership.

Senior MQM leader Imran Farooq was murdered on Edgware area of northwest London on September 16, 2010. Pakistan and United Kingdom are pursuing investigations into the case separately.
