ISLAMABAD – Relations between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its ally Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) are going to deepen further as the federal govenment has decided to include Monis Elahi in the cabinet.
Local media reports claim the son of Punjab Assembly Speaker Pervaiz Elahi will be appointed as federal minister for industries.
Monis has been holding meetings with Prime Minister Imran Khan and other party leaders, including Jahangir Tareen Khan, the reports said, adding that the ruling party has given him the go ahead. A formal announcement in this regard will be made in coming days.

The PML-Q is a partner of PTI in federal and Punjab Province. Earlier, the Imran Khan-led party had nominated Pervaiz Elahi as a candidate for the speaker slot.
