PM Nawaz forcefully pleads Kashmirs case at UN: Masood Khan

NEW YORK – President Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Masood Khan Wednesday said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif fully represented the Kashmiri people and forcefully pleaded their case for a right to self-determination in his speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

“Kashmir issue is the bone of contention between Pakistan and India, therefore, the Prime Minister emphasised in his speech to resolve it as per wishes of the Kashmiri people and according to United Nations resolutions”, he said this while talking to Pakistani media persons in UN headquarters.

He said the prime minister highlighted Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.

Masood said the prime minister’s speech would have a positive impact as it keenly listened in the world.-Staff Report/PR
