Three Kashmiri youth killed by Indian forces

SRINAGAR (Online) – Indian troops killed three youth in the Handwara area of Kupwara in Kashmir Valley on Sunday.

The Indian army claimed that the youth were killed during an encounter with troops.
An Indian soldier was also killed in the encounter, Kashmir Media Service reported.

The encounter was continued till last reports came in.

The Indian forces have escalated their aggression in the held Kashmir after Pakistan called on the international community to take notice of India’s running away from National Security Advisor (NSA) level meeting on flimsy grounds.

Indian police on Saturday arrested senior Hurriyat leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, in New Delhi.

The police took Shabbir Ahmed Shah into custody from the airport soon after he arrived to meet Prime Minister’s Advisor on National Security and Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz in the Indian capital.

The Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi has invited the Hurriyat leaders to meet Sartaj Aziz during a reception in the honour of Sartaj Aziz on Monday.

Earlier, talking to media men in Srinagar, Shabbir Ahmed Shah said that talks between Pakistan and India must go on to subside the pressure on both sides of the Line of Control.

On the other hand, the veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani, continues to remain under house arrest in Srinagar.

Indian police have arrested Hurriyat leaders, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Syed Bashir Andrabi and Mir Hafeezullah in Srinagar.
