KARACHI (Web Desk) - Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has announced a Rs. 10 million reward for the safe recovery of Owais Shah, the abducted son of the province's Chief Justice.

The chief minister has also taken notice of qawwal Amjad Sabri’s murder, saying that law and order was being undermined in the city under a pre-planned conspiracy. “I would not let this conspiracy succeed and the conspirators and terrorists would be crushed with iron hands,” said the Sindh CM.

The chief minister also held a meeting with DG Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar and IG Sindh AD Khawaja and directed them to arrest the culprits.

On June 20, Advocate Owais Shah was kidnapped at gunpoint in broad daylight from the courtyard of a super market.

The Sindh CM also directed the province's police chief to immediately suspend SHO Sharifabad Farooq Sanjrani and DSP Liaquatabad Amin Rehman and issue explanation to the SSP Central for the security lapse in Amjad Sabri's murder.

The chief minister also ordered IGP AD Khwaja to remove SSP South Dr Farooq and SP Clifton Amjat Hayat for negligence and post officers of good repute in their place.

The IGP Sindh briefed the CM on both incidents, saying his team was working hard to probe the murder of Sabri. He said some suspects had been arrested whereas the CCTV footage of the incident was being collected for further investigation.
