PPP wants Indian Shiv Sena declared a terrorist organisation

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has submitted a resolution in National Assembly secretariat urging the federal government to take notice of India’s extremist political party Shiv Sena and taking steps to get it declared a terrorist organisation internationally.

The resolution, which has been submitted by PPP MNAs Imran Zafar Leghari, Shazia Atta Marri, Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho, Mir Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani and Dr Nafisa Shah, also condemns the mistreatment of PCB officials in India.

It demanded the federal government to register a formal protest in this regard through the foreign office, summoning the Indian High Commissioner.

The resolution also called federal government for raising the issue at international level and take steps to get Shiv Sena declared a terrorist organisation through diplomatic channels.

According to PPP spokesman Senator Farhatullah Khan Babar, his party also plans to raise the issue in the Senate.
