ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Using his discretionary powers, President Mamnoon Hussain has suspended the execution of Abdul Basit-disabled prisoner who was on death row and scheduled for execution tomorrow (Wednesday).
It is still unclear that suspension is temporary or permanent.
Abdul Basit could not be hanged in compliance with the jail manual because he was in a wheelchair, a magistrate said when ordering the postponement for second time in September.
