Bilawal eyes entry into parliamentary politics

KARACHI – Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto is reportedly mulling over taking part in parliamentary politics by contesting by-elections.

Sources privy to the party disclosed that Bilawal could contest elections from NA-204 or NA-207 constituency.

Bilawal will formally announce his entry into parliamentary politics at the party’s upcoming Foundation Day celebrations, sources said.

The decision regarding Asif Ali Zardari’s return into Pakistan will also be taken on the Foundation Day, Nov 30.

Party leader Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood reportedly offered Bilawal to contest from his native seat in Rahim Yar Khan.

On the other hand, PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari had announced that he was not in exile and would return to Pakistan soon. Political pundits opine that Asif Zardari would return soon after the retirement of COAS Raheel Sharif although party leaders deny any synchronised development.
