NEW DELHI (Staff Report) – Indian government has made Gautam Bambawale as its new High Commissioner (HC) in Pakistan, reported TOI on Thursday.
Gautam Bambawale is presently serving as India’s ambassador to Bhutan and will take over TCA Raghavan as high commissioner to Pakistan when the latter retires in December.
According to Indian media, this is a big appointment, because Bambawale, an expert on China, will be taking over one of India’s most sensitive diplomatic positions.
