LONDON (Staff Report) – Muslims in Saudi Arabia, UAE, US and many other countries in the world are celebrating Eidul Azha today.
In the Saudi capital of Riyadh, Muslims congregated at 666 mosques to offer Eid prayers, while thousands also gathered in open spaces.
Major Eid congregations were held in the holy mosques Masjid-ul-Haram and Masjid-e-Nabvi. Special prayers were offered for the unity among the Muslim Ummah and peace in the world.
At least 3 million pilgrims will gather on Saudi land and will offer sacrifice.
Muslims living in Bahrain, Syria, Palestine, Iran, Iraq, Middle East, Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, India, London, North America and other European countries are also celebrating Eid today.
In Pakistan and India, Eidul Azha, will be celebrated tomorrow.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif offered the Eid prayers in Reagent’s Park in London while former president Asif Ali Zardari and his son Bilawal Bhutto offered the prayers in Dubai.
