PESHAWAR – The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervez Khattak appeared before National Accountability Bureau in a case regarding the misuse of two state-owned helicopters.
A questionnaire prepared by NAB to probe Khattak in the case has been handed over to CM, who will submit a reply in 10 days.
Earlier, the Bureau had directed its KP-wing to launch an inquiry into the reports about the private use of helicopters to facilitate PTI supremo Imran Khan.
A five-member investigation committee headed by NAB director Naveed Akhtar is investigating the case.
The investigation team had already forwarded a summary to headquarters, seeking permission for probe against Khattak.
Earlier, Imran Khan was accused of using MI 17 helicopter for visits to Kohat, Peshawar, Mardan, Battagram, Dir and Kamrat for 22 hours and Ecureuil helicopter for flying off to Peshawar, Kohat, Abbottabad, Haripur, Chitral, Swat and Nowshera by paying only Rs28,000 per hour.
