Elite in Pakistan ‘irritated’ by Biometric Verification of SIMs

LAHORE (Web Desk) – The elite in Pakistan who are used to over-relaxed lifestyles have been challenged by the recent Bio-metric verification of SIMs.

Politicians, Bureaucrats and the affluent who are mostly used to having their personal chores undertaken by the huge number of servants and maids at their disposal were perturbed due to the procedures involved. They were required to go themselves for thumb-impressions and to wait for many hours which caused them irritation.

The crowd at the franchises of five cellular companies of the country, Mobilink, Telenor, Ufone, Zong and Warid is increasing, and the long queues of people are causing trouble to politicians and bureaucrats. After the expiry of deadline of Bio-metric verification, the practice of dozens of SIMs registered in the name of one person will end.

It should be noted that the number of users of cell-phones in Pakistan is more than 13 crores. Mobilink is the mobile connection which people subscribe to most out of all other services in Pakistan.
