CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah announces Rs10m grant for Sabri s family

KARACHI (Staff Report) – Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has announced Rs. 10 million in financial support to the family of late qawwal Amjad Sabri, who was shot dead in Karachi on Wednesday.

The CM said the Sindh government would also provide employment to the widow of Sabri. “The loss of Amjad Sabri at the hands of criminals is the loss of Pakistan,” he said this during the Sindh Assembly Session today (Saturday).

Syed Qaim Ali Shah told the house that the killers of Amjad Sabri would be arrested very soon; adding that some leads had been obtained which could not be revealed due to the ongoing nature of investigations.

He said that some people had confessed and claimed responsibility for the kidnapping of Owais Shah, the son of the Sindh Chief Justice. “He will be recovered soon,” the Chief Minister vowed.

He said the people involved in journalist Wali Babar’s killing had been arrested from 90, the headquarters of MQM in Karachi.

“Compared with the other provinces, the law and order situation in Sindh is much better,” the CM claimed.
