PM Nawaz Sharif condemns Quetta attack, directs authorities to punish perpetrators

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif late Monday night strongly condemned the attack on Police Training Center in Quetta and directed the federal and provincial authorities to bring the perpetrators to task as soon as possible.

According to a press statement, PM Nawaz expressed concerns over the attack and directed the federal and provincial security agencies to bring the perpetrators to task.

PM directed the interior ministry and Balochistan government to keep him informed on the developments of the incident.

While praying for swift recovery of those injured during the attack, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif directed for extending best medical treatment to them.

On Monday night, five to six terrorists stormed the Police Training Centre located at Sariab Road in Quetta and opened gunfire. A loud explosion was also heard, as security forces surrounded the training centre and conducted an operation against militants.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri also condemned the attack and said that the perpetrators would be brought to book.
