ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Good news for those who still could not get the job done, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has extended the SIMS verification deadline date from February 26 to April 14.
The Date extended due to extra ordinary rush of People on Verification Points through Biometric System.
About 50% of SIMS from all Networks are yet to be verified out of 103 million SIMs that are in Use for Pakistani People.
Now SIM will not be blocked after 26th February. However if any SIM card will not verified and remain as unverified will be blocked immediately.
The crowd at the franchises of five cellular companies of the country, Mobilink, Telenor, Ufone, Zong and Warid had been continuously increasing contributing to long queues of people thus creating problems for mobile phone users from all segments.
Just to recall, the number of users of cell-phones in Pakistan is more than 13 crores with Mobilink as the top mobile connection subscribed by users in Pakistan.
