MIRPUR (Staff Report) – Bangladesh won the third match of main round 2016 Asia Cup by 51 runs, played between BD and United Arab Emirates (UAE) at Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Mirpur today (Friday).
The UAE captain Amjad Javed won the toss and opted to field first. Bangladesh set 134 runs target.
Bangladesh made one change, replacing Imrul Kayes with wicketkeeper-batsman Nurul Hasan.
The UAE, who lost to Sri Lanka by 14 runs, brought in Fahad Tariq for Qadeer Ahmed.

Earlier United Arab Emirates qualified for the main round by remaining number one among Afghanistan, Nepal and Hong Kong in the first round.
This is the first time when Asia Cup is being played in T20 format. All of the matches will be day/night and played at Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
