RAJASTHAN (Web Desk) – As many as 35 Pakistani citizens were held by Indian police in Ramdevra, Jaisalmer on Saturday as they had visa only for Mathura and Haridwar, Indian media reported.
The Pakistani nationals, who entered India through the Thar Desert via Munabav, were detained in Ramdevra District of Rajasthan.
The Indian authorities claimed that they have visa for Mathura and Haridwar but not for Ramdevra. The detained men were planning to visit the Baba Ramdev Temple where the Samadhi of Baba Ramdev stands.
It is reported that these people belong to Amarkot, Mirpur Khas and Tharparkar of Sindh province in Pakistan.

Kushal Chandra, SHO of Ramdevra, said that the higher authorities have been informed about the incident and action will be taken as per the instructions.
On the other hand, Pakistan Foreign Office took the notice of this issue and directed the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi to look into the matter and asked for immediate release of the travellers.
