PM Nawaz for enhancing Pak-Iran trade volume to 5b

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said Pakistan and Iran relations are based on mutual respect, culture, and religion, reports Radio Pakistan.

Prime Minister said we can move the volume of trade up to five billion dollars. He said government is taking steps to promote regional relations.

He said this while addressing the Pakistan-Iran Joint Business Forum in Islamabad on Saturday.

Nawaz said it is necessary to meet the challenges of terrorism, energy to achieve the targets of economy.

The PM said that economic revolution in Pakistan will also bring prosperity in the region.

Prime Minister said we are taking effective steps for curbing the terrorism. He said it is very difficult to achieve Quaid’s Pakistan without ending menace of terrorism.

Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastgir Khan said Pakistan and Iran are enjoying historic and cordial relations.

The minister said Pakistan wants to provide all out assistance to the Iranian traders.

He said leadership of both the countries is committed to enhance their bilateral trade volume up to five billion dollars in the next five years.

Businessmen from both the countries are attending the forum.
