ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday left for Malta to participate in the 24th meeting of Commonwealth Government Heads under the theme ‘Adding Global Value.’
The two-day meeting, that will begin from Friday at Valletta, will discuss violent extremism and radicalism, sustainable development goals and migration.
The commonwealth heads will also take up issues related to climate change in a special session of the meeting.
During the meeting new Secretary General of CHOGM will also be elected for the next four-year term.
Besides attending the two-day Commonwealth meeting, the Prime Minister is also expected to meet several world leaders on the side-lines of the summit to discuss bilateral and global issues.
