KARACHI (Staff Report) – Sindh Counter Terrorism Department has apprehended as many as four terrorists trained by Indian intelligence agency RAW, SSP Naveed Khawaja told reporters on Thursday.
The militants have been identified as Abdul Jabbar, Khalid, Muhammad Mohsin and Zafar Tension.
According to SSP all of the four arrested militants are associated with a political party as well. They will be tried under charge conspiracy against the state.
He further claimed these terrorists were trained in different parts of neighboring country India and have been provided with financial support also. One of the militants has revealed a number of dummy bank accounts opened for the funds, the police officer said. Many of the accounts are in the names of traders and businessmen.
The officials however refused to disclosed the area from where the culprits have been arrested.
Earlier a Punjab Police personnel was arrested for having links with RAW and sharing sensitive information with Indian security officials.
