ISLAMABAD – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Saturday took suo moto notice of the gang rape with a transgender person in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

This followed a media report that revealed that an 18-year-old transgender was allegedly kidnapped and then raped by nine unidentified people in Peshawar.

CJP sought a report from IG KP within three days. The victim was an active member of her community. An FIR has been registered at Gulbahar police station in this regard.-Online
