KARACHI – Unidentified armed men on Sunday gunned down DSP Traffic Police Faiz Ali Shigri in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal area.
According to Express News, the police officer was travelling in his car near Alladin Park, Rashid Minhas Road when he was targeted by assailants. He was deputed at airport traffic section.
According to police sources, another constable Rasheed was also injured in the firing.
Earlier in May this year, two traffic police officials were shot dead in an armed attack in Ayesha Manzil area.
The deceased were equipped with bulletproof jackets; however, could not survive the attack as the armed men shot them in the head, according to the Karachi Police Media Cell.
A fresh spree of violence in metropolis has raised the eyebrows of Law Enforcement Agencies however, much is needed to get rid of prevailing scourge of violence in city.
