Imran Khan writes letter to UN chief Ban Ki-moon over rights violations in IOK

ISLAMABAD – Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan has written a letter to United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon demanding that UN representatives should be appointed across the other side of Line of Control.

It has been mentioned in the letter that the human rights violations in Indian held Kashmir have risen to a drastic level and that is why, the meeting of UN Security Council should be summoned with immediate effect.

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf has also mentioned in his letter that ensuring the global peace and stability is the job of UN Secretary General, however the dispute issue of Kashmir that has been on the United Nations’ agenda is still going unresolved, Dunya News reported.

Imran Khan also maintained in his letter that the Indian forces deployed on LoC have resorted to unprovoked firing and which has resulted in civilian casualties as well.

Imran was of the opinion that he fails to understand as to why the United Nations is still silent over Indian aggression and not taking substantial step in this regard.

Imran also mentioned in his letter that the regional peace and security is under threat owing to Indian violence.
