MUMBAI – Be it India’s ‘Padmavati’ or Pakistan’s ‘Verna’, the film industries of both nations have been facing adversity at the hands of extremists and political elements.
Recently, Mahesh Bhatt posted a few heartfelt tweets and we could not help but think how appropriate they sat with the current situation. Mahesh’s tweets carry a series of well written messages in the form of famous poetry of Urdu language poets.
It goes on as:

It should be noted that recently a dead body was found hanging with evidence of angst against film ‘Padmavati’ attached to it. Film ‘Verna’ also faced issues from CBFC because it represented the political elements in a negative light.
Same could be said of the current political situation that Pakistan is facing these days. Mr. Bhatt, your feelings resonate with ours in equals amounts. All the love and respect to you.
