Army chief says quality education is best approach to achieve enduring peace, stability

RAWALPINDI – Army Chief General Qamar Javed says quality education to the youth is the best approach to achieving enduring peace and stability.

He was speaking after inaugurating Army Public School and College at Kanju Garrison in Swat on Wednesday.

The facility has the capacity of three thousand and six hundred students and is a gift for the resilient people of Swat in recognition of their contributions and sacrifices in defeating terrorism.

It also contains computer and science labs, an auditorium and a sports stadium.

The army chief also inaugurated Ghallanai – Mohmand Gat road including 751 meters of Nahakki tunnel in Mohmand Agency today.

Speaking on the occasion, he said development projects play an important role towards achieving enduring peace and stability.

He thanked the local tribesmen for their great support to Army in getting rid of terrorists.

Tribal elders thanked the army chief for provision of security and ongoing development projects.
