Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has, for the first time, joined the list of individuals earning $200 billion.
Currently, there are four people in the world with over $200 billion, including Mark Zuckerberg, Tesla’s owner Elon Musk, Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos, and France’s Bernard Arnault.
With a net worth of $202 billion, the Meta CEO is currently the third richest person in the world.
Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest individual to reach $200 billion in wealth.
Jeff Bezos ranks second with $214 billion, while Elon Musk remains the wealthiest person with $268 billion.
Bernard Arnault holds the fourth position with $201 billion.
Mark Zuckerberg has earned the most wealth globally in 2024 so far.
It’s worth noting that not long ago, Mark Zuckerberg had significantly dropped in the list of the world’s richest people.
In 2022, due to his commitment to developing the Metaverse, Zuckerberg suffered massive financial losses.
At one point, his wealth declined by more than $100 billion, and he fell out of the top 10 richest people in the world.
By 2022, Zuckerberg’s wealth had plummeted to below $35 billion due to a sharp drop in Meta’s stock prices.
However, in 2023, Zuckerberg refocused on the real world, taking steps to reduce Meta’s expenses and concentrating more on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
These measures have so far proven beneficial for the company, with Zuckerberg’s wealth increasing by $73.5 billion this year.
