RAWALPINDI (Staff Report) – Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday said the stability is returning to Pakistan as a result of the ongoing military operation which targeted terrorists in tribal region of the country.
The army chief, according to the twitter feed of DG ISPR Major-General Asim Saleem Bajwa, expressed these views while addressing the officers during his visit to corps headquarters Bahwalpur.
He extended his tributes to the soldiers and officers who sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism on the occasion.
The linkage between militants has been broken through recent military efforts and the focus cannot be taken away from the fight against terrorism, he said.
General Raheel Sharif went on to say that peaceful environment in Pakistan and whole region is the top priority and necessary to take the country ahead.
Youth is our greatest asset and must be encouraged and trained to become good citizens, he added.
