Lahore will reject Imran Khan, says Shehbaz Sharif

MARDAN – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday said that Imran Khan is going to Lahore but he will not be welcomed there.

Punjab chief minister lambasted that the entire Peshawar city had been dug out on the pretext of Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit project, noting that Imran Khan used to call it ‘jangla bus’.

“We have spent Rs17bn for the education of orphans in Punjab. Is there any such program functioning in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa?”

The PML-N chief praised the quality of Danish schools in Punjab and said that if his party was elected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa then he would build Danish schools there as well.

“I will build Danish schools in every district of KP,” he said. “I felt extremely sorry over Peshawar’s destruction,” he said, adding that the opponents did nothing except for staging sit-ins.

Shehbaz said that his party would defeat both Imran Khan and Asif Ali Zardari through the vote in 2018.

He noted that the forensic test in Asma murder case was conducted at a Lahore lab.

“Thousands of megawatts of electricity could be produced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but Imran gave minus-6MW during the five years,” the PML-N president said.

He added that if they voted the PML-N into power, then his party would turn KP into Punjab and Peshawar into Lahore.
